Diego Luna's journey to the USMNT has been unconventional, but his instincts and introspection have led him to this point.
Diego Luna's path to the professional ranks has been anything but conventional. He left the San Jose Earthquakes academy at age 15 to head to the Barcelona Residency Academy in Casa Grande, Ariz., and later joined the USL Championship with El Paso Locomotive before landing with Real Salt Lake in 2022. Luna has shown an uncanny ability to get what he needs, trusting his instincts and looking inward to sense what he needs to do and where he needs to go, no matter how unconventional it might appear.
