Johnson comes to the Bears after three seasons as the offensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions, where he helped engineer a top-five scoring offense. Bears president and CEO Kevin Warren said that Johnson was the top candidate for the job, and that the team was aggressive in their pursuit of him. Johnson is excited to take on the challenge of coaching the Bears, and said that he wants to build a winning culture in Chicago.
