Lando Norris collides with McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri in the final laps of the Canadian Grand Prix, shaking up the F1 championship standings.

In a dramatic turn of events at the Canadian Grand Prix, Lando Norris collided with his McLaren teammate and championship rival Oscar Piastri, just four laps from the finish. The incident occurred as Norris attempted a tight pass on Piastri down the start-finish straight, resulting in a collision that sent Norris into the wall, destroying his front wing and left tire.
Norris, who was running in fifth place at the time, immediately took responsibility for the crash. "Sorry," he said over the radio. "All my bad. All my fault. Stupid from me." The crash forced Norris to retire from the race, which was ultimately won by pole-sitter George Russell and concluded under the safety car.
This on-track collision marks the first incident between the two championship frontrunners. Prior to the race, Piastri held a 10-point lead over Norris in the championship standings. However, the gap has now widened to 22 points, significantly impacting the title race.
The incident has sparked discussions about team dynamics and the pressures of championship battles in Formula 1. As the season progresses, the rivalry between Norris and Piastri will undoubtedly continue to be a focal point for fans and analysts alike.
