Brock Boeser Secures Future with Vancouver Canucks: A New Seven-Year Deal
Brock Boeser and the Vancouver Canucks finalize a seven-year contract, securing his role as a key player in the team's future.

The Vancouver Canucks have officially locked in forward Brock Boeser with a new seven-year contract, ensuring his presence in the team’s lineup for the foreseeable future. The deal, announced by Canucks' GM Patrik Allvin during the opening hours of NHL free agency, carries an average annual value (AAV) of $7.25 million. Boeser, 28, was previously an unrestricted free agent following the expiration of his last contract.
Drafted 23rd overall in the 2015 NHL Draft, Boeser has been a cornerstone for the Canucks, amassing 204 goals and 434 points in 554 games. Known for his elite playmaking skills and offensive prowess, Boeser had a standout season in 2023-24, recording 40 goals and 73 points in 81 games. Although his numbers dipped slightly last season to 25 goals and 50 points in 75 games, he remained a top performer for the team, particularly on the power play.
The extension marks a significant commitment from both parties. Earlier this year, Boeser expressed uncertainty about his future with the Canucks, having reportedly turned down a five-year extension offer and being shopped at the March trade deadline. However, after exploring his options, Boeser chose to recommit to Vancouver, pledging the prime years of his career to the team.
This deal not only solidifies Boeser’s role as a key offensive threat but also provides the Canucks with much-needed stability as they aim to build a competitive roster for the upcoming seasons.
