Philadelphia Flyers Secure Dan Vladar with a 2-Year Deal to Strengthen Goaltending
The Philadelphia Flyers have signed goaltender Dan Vladar to a two-year contract, aiming to bolster their goaltending duo for the upcoming NHL seasons.

The Philadelphia Flyers have officially announced the signing of goaltender Dan Vladar to a two-year contract, with an average annual value of $3.35 million. This move is set to strengthen their goaltending lineup as they prepare for the upcoming NHL seasons.
Vladar, who will turn 28 in August, is expected to share the crease with Samuel Ersson. Last season, while playing for the rebuilding Calgary Flames, Vladar posted a record of 12-11-6 with a 2.80 goals-against average. His standout season was in 2022-23, where he achieved a 14-6-0 record in Calgary. Despite his potential, Vladar has yet to start more than 30 games in a single season.
This contract marks Vladar's third team in the NHL, having previously played for the Boston Bruins, where he made his NHL debut in the 2020-21 season. The Flyers are optimistic that Vladar's experience and skills will complement Ersson and provide the team with a solid goaltending foundation.
