Brighton has reached an agreement worth £10m to acquire Sunderland winger Tom Watson this summer. The 18-year-old, who made his senior debut in April 2023, has scored two goals in 17 appearances. Watson has agreed to a four-year deal with the Premier League side and will remain with Sunderland for the rest of the season, as they contend for the Championship play-offs. Brighton's technical director, David Weir, praises Watson's talent. Watson has represented England at under-17 and under-18 levels.
