He is determined to pursue a third battle against Artur Beterbiev. Bivol previously defeated Beterbiev on 23 February, claiming revenge and multiple world titles. The WBC had ordered Bivol to fight David Benavidez next, but he is focused on the potential trilogy with Beterbiev. American fighter Benavidez, unbeaten in 30 bouts, has now been elevated to world champion status. Liverpool's Callum Smith is among those looking to face Benavidez after his February win over Joshua Buatsi.
