Ngamba's Boxing Setback and Comeback Ahead
Olympian Cindy Ngamba to have surgery after pro debut withdrawal.
Olympian Cindy Ngamba was all set for her professional boxing debut at the Royal Albert Hall in March. However, a medical issue prevented her from competing just a day before the planned fight. The 26-year-old, born in Cameroon, made history at last year's Paris Olympics as the first member of the Refugee Olympic Team to win a medal. Ngamba wrote on Instagram that she will undergo surgery to correct the problem and return to training later this year. She signed a 'multi-fight' promotional deal with Boxxer earlier this year.
