Motherwell defender Johnny Koutroumbis fought thyroid cancer at 20 and now plays professionally.

Johnny Koutroumbis was striving for his football dream at 20. But he found a lump on his neck and was diagnosed with stage one thyroid cancer. After a successful recovery, he has played over 150 professional games. Despite facing challenges in Scotland, his cancer experience taught him to stay strong and look at the bigger picture.
He considers himself lucky and says there's more to life than football.
