Nottinghamshire's Josh Tongue picked up a second consecutive five-wicket haul at Trent Bridge as they dismissed Sussex for 169 on the opening day of their County Championship clash. Tongue, in his third match for Notts after an injury-hit 2024 season, showed great pace and was supported well by Brett Hutton. Notts lost Ben Duckett early but Haseeb Hameed remained unbeaten on 67. Sussex struggled early with wickets falling quickly. Oli Carter and others tried to recover but more wickets followed. Tongue finished the innings in style. Notts' innings started well but lost wickets. Hameed and Haynes were in control at the end of the day. Players from both sides shared their thoughts.
