Stephen Curry's Injury Overshadows Warriors' Victory as Pacers Stun Cavaliers in NBA Playoffs
Stephen Curry's hamstring injury casts a shadow over the Warriors' win, while the Pacers stun the Cavaliers with a game-winning three-pointer by Tyrese Haliburton.

Stephen Curry's Injury Mars Warriors' Triumph
The Golden State Warriors secured a 99-88 victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the NBA playoffs, but the win was overshadowed by a hamstring injury to star player Stephen Curry. The 37-year-old two-time MVP left the game before halftime after clutching the back of his left leg during a defensive play. Despite initially trying to continue, Curry signaled to the bench that he needed to be replaced.
In Curry's absence, Buddy Hield, Jimmy Butler, and Draymond Green stepped up, combining for 62 points to lead the Warriors to victory. However, Curry is likely to miss at least game two of the series, scheduled for Friday, 9 May, as the team awaits the results of an MRI scan.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr expressed his concern, stating, "We're definitely game-planning for him to not be available for game two, but we don't know yet. With a hamstring, it's hard to imagine that he would play. I talked to him at halftime, he's obviously crushed. The guys picked him up and played a great game, but we're all concerned about Steph."
Pacers' Stunning Comeback Against Cavaliers
In another thrilling playoff matchup, the Indiana Pacers shocked the top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers with a game-winning three-pointer by Tyrese Haliburton in game two of their second-round series. The Pacers had trailed throughout the match until a sensational fourth quarter, where they outscored the Cavaliers 36-21.
The Cavaliers, who won the Eastern Conference, had built a 20-point lead at one stage. However, a spirited fightback in the final minutes culminated in Haliburton's stunning step-back three-pointer, giving the Pacers a 2-0 lead in the series. Aaron Nesmith and Myles Turner both top-scored for the Pacers with 23 points each, while Haliburton contributed 20 points.
Game three of the series is set for 10 May, with the Pacers looking to extend their lead and the Cavaliers aiming to bounce back.
