Paul Mullin's Journey: From Wrexham Hero to Championship Aspirations

Paul Mullin's emotional journey with Wrexham, his struggles, and his hopes for a future in the Championship.

Paul Mullin's Emotional Reveal

Paul Mullin, Wrexham's leading scorer for three consecutive seasons, has opened up about his recent struggles and his aspirations for the future. In the latest episode of the Disney+ series 'Welcome to Wrexham,' Mullin discussed his absence from the squad and his emotional journey.

The Struggle for Form

Mullin, who joined Wrexham from Cambridge United in 2021, has been a pivotal figure in the club's rise under the Hollywood ownership of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. However, last season saw him sidelined for much of the campaign as Wrexham clinched promotion to the Championship.

A Chance in the Championship

Despite his absence, Mullin remains hopeful for a future with Wrexham. 'Just to play one game in the Championship with Wrexham would be worth absolutely everything,' the 30-year-old striker said. 'It would be the icing on the cake for this story.'

Support from Former Stars

Former Wrexham striker and manager Andy Morrell has expressed his support for Mullin, hoping he will have a part to play in the 2025-26 season. 'I would love it if he stayed and gave himself that chance,' Morrell said. 'We all know he's got goals in him, he's a finisher, and we've seen him show it against Championship sides in the past.'

Looking Ahead

Mullin's future at Wrexham remains uncertain, but his passion for the club and his determination to succeed are undeniable. Whether he continues his journey with Wrexham or moves on to new challenges, Mullin's legacy at the club is secure.
