Myles Lewis-Skelly has solidified his future with Arsenal by signing a new five-year contract, expressing his desire to build a legacy at the club. The 18-year-old defender, who made his debut last season, has quickly become a key player under manager Mikel Arteta, featuring in 39 appearances across all competitions.

Lewis-Skelly's previous contract was set to expire in 2026, but his impressive performances have earned him an extended stay at the Emirates. Last season, Arsenal finished second in the Premier League, trailing Liverpool by 10 points.

"I want to win everything there is to win in the game," Lewis-Skelly stated on the Arsenal website. "I want to win trophies on the biggest stages while remaining grounded and always learning, which is so important."

In March, Lewis-Skelly made history by becoming the youngest player to score on his England debut, netting in a 2-0 victory against Albania at Wembley. He also earned his third cap in a 3-1 defeat to Senegal earlier this month.

Originally a central midfielder in Arsenal's academy, Lewis-Skelly has excelled as a left-back, with the freedom to move into midfield. Since his Premier League debut as a substitute against Manchester City in September, he has demonstrated remarkable defensive skills, being dribbled past only once in the league—the best record among players with at least 15 starts.

Lewis-Skelly also leads in duels won per 90 minutes (six) and ranks third for fouls won (3.1). His 93.6% pass accuracy is the fifth highest in the division for players who logged at least 1,000 minutes last season. His outstanding performances earned him a nomination for the PFA Young Player of the Season award.

"I've embodied the values of Hale End and come through," Lewis-Skelly reflected. "I've still got a lot of years ahead of me, so if I can keep staying humble and being a good person, that's the most important thing to me."
