Myles Creighton of Canada made headlines at the Wichita Open by carding a 59 on Saturday, marking a historic moment in Korn Ferry Tour history. This remarkable achievement makes him the 15th player to record a sub-60 round on the tour, and the second to do so in just three days at this year's Wichita Open.

Creighton's round included 12 birdies and one bogey, which came on the par-3 eighth hole. Despite challenging conditions with wind gusts reaching up to 38 mph, Creighton managed to navigate the 6,910-yard Crestview Country Club, which plays to a par 70. The course features two par 5s just over 500 yards and two par 4s measuring under 350 yards.

This historic round was not the first time the Korn Ferry Tour has seen multiple sub-60 scores in a single week. Just last year, Cristobal Del Solar of Chile set the tour record with a 57 at the Astara Golf Championship in Colombia, followed by Aldrich Potgieter of South Africa shooting a 59 the next day. Neither player went on to win their respective tournaments.

Since 2023, there have been 18 sub-60 rounds recorded on tours worldwide, including a 59 by Jake Knapp at this year's Cognizant Classic on the PGA Tour.

Creighton's performance at the Wichita Open placed him in a tie for the lead with Quade Cummins (67) at 15-under 195. Meanwhile, Adrien Dumont de Chassart, who also scored a 59 in the opening round, finished tied for 17th at 8 under after subsequent rounds of 70 and 73.

This achievement not only highlights Creighton's exceptional skill but also underscores the increasing competitiveness and excitement on the Korn Ferry Tour.
