Five NFL coaches who have been fired once or twice share their experiences of what happens next, including how they set themselves up for success in the future.

The Monday after Week 18 of the NFL season is synonymous with the coaching carousel beginning to spin. On average, 6.5 NFL teams per season have changed their head coach in the Super Bowl era. This season, several coaches have lost their jobs, including the New York Jets' Robert Saleh, the New Orleans Saints' Dennis Allen, the Chicago Bears' Matt Eberflus, the New England Patriots' Jerod Mayo, the Jacksonville Jaguars' Doug Pedersen and the Las Vegas Raiders' Antonio Pierce. Some of these coaches, including Raheem Morris, Dan Quinn, Vance Joseph, Matt Nagy and Ron Rivera, have shared their experiences of getting fired and what they did next with ESPN.
