Keith Tkachuk: From NHL Legend to Proud Hockey Dad
Keith Tkachuk reflects on his sons' NHL success, the Panthers' Stanley Cup win, and his thoughts on the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Keith Tkachuk, a former NHL star, has found a new kind of glory in his sons' hockey careers. Matthew and Brady Tkachuk have not only followed in their father's footsteps but have also carved out their own legacies in the NHL. Recently, Keith shared his thoughts on their achievements, the Florida Panthers' back-to-back Stanley Cup wins, and his ongoing Hockey Hall of Fame snub.
The Pride of a Hockey Dad
"There's nothing better than seeing your kids do what they love to do best," Keith Tkachuk said, reflecting on his sons' All-Star performances. Matthew, a key player for the Florida Panthers, and Brady, a star for the Ottawa Senators, have both made significant impacts on the ice.
Stanley Cup Celebrations
Keith was on the ice when Matthew handed him the Stanley Cup after the Panthers' second consecutive championship. "It was a lot of fun," Keith recalled. "And the next five days were a lot more fun too." The Panthers' success has been a family affair, with Brady also present during the celebrations.
EA NHL 26 Cover Athletes
The Tkachuk brothers are the cover athletes for EA NHL 26, appearing on the Deluxe Edition alongside their father. "They've worked their tails off to get here," Keith said, expressing his pride in their accomplishments.
Olympic Dreams
Looking ahead to the 2026 Winter Olympics, Keith hopes to see his sons bring home the gold for Team USA. "It would mean everything," he said. "They really enjoyed playing together at 4 Nations. It was something to see."
Hockey Hall of Fame Snub
Despite his impressive career, Keith has yet to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. "If it happens, great. If it doesn't, life goes on," he said. "But my kids are my Hall of Fame."
Legacy and Future
Keith Tkachuk's legacy extends beyond his own career. As a proud father and mentor, he continues to support his sons as they make their mark in the NHL. "This has been a heck of a ride," he concluded.
