Chanettee Wannasaen Holds Strong Lead at Kroger Queen City Championship 2025
Chanettee Wannasaen leads by two shots at the Kroger Queen City Championship, with Jeeno Thitikul and Charley Hull in close pursuit.

In a thrilling display of skill and determination, Chanettee Wannasaen continues to dominate the Kroger Queen City Championship, maintaining a two-shot lead as the tournament progresses. The 21-year-old Thai sensation, aiming for her third consecutive victory on the LPGA Tour, showcased her prowess with a 4-under 68 at the challenging TPC River's Bend, bringing her total to an impressive 13-under 131.
Wannasaen, who opened the tournament with a stellar 63, expressed her focus on enjoying the game rather than obsessing over scores. "I just want me to play like this," she said. "I not think about the score. I just want hit driver like this, hit iron like this. I just want to enjoy with the golf again."
Hot on her heels are Jeeno Thitikul and Charley Hull, both making significant moves. Thitikul, the top-ranked Thai star, carded a 64, highlighted by four consecutive birdies on the back nine. Meanwhile, Hull, fresh off a runner-up finish in Houston, eagled the par-5 11th and birdied the final two holes for a 65.
The competition remains fierce with Olivia Cowan also tied for second. Other notable performances include Maja Stark, Sei Young Kim, and Gigi Stoll, all at 10 under. Nelly Korda, despite being winless this season, remains in contention at 9 under.
Defending champion Lydia Ko struggled to make an impact, finishing at 5 under. Meanwhile, Alison Lee missed the cut in her first event since giving birth earlier this year.
As the tournament heads into its final rounds, all eyes are on Wannasaen to see if she can maintain her lead and secure another victory on the LPGA Tour.
