Chanettee Wannasaen Dominates with a Stellar 63 at Kroger Queen City Championship
Chanettee Wannasaen leads the Kroger Queen City Championship with a remarkable 63, showcasing her exceptional skills on the course.

Chanettee Wannasaen made headlines at the Kroger Queen City Championship with an outstanding performance, carding a 9-under 63 to take a two-stroke lead. Her round was highlighted by a spectacular eagle on the par-4 10th, where she holed out a 9-iron shot, and seven birdies. This impressive display came despite her recent struggles with her swing, which she has been working to correct since the AIG Women's British Open.
Wannasaen, a 21-year-old Thai golfer with two LPGA Tour victories under her belt, expressed her satisfaction with her performance, stating, 'Actually, today play really good. After AIG, I have a little bit struggle with my swing, so like I cannot hit like a solid shot.'
American golfer Gigi Stoll trails closely behind with a 65, having played the four par-5 holes in 5 under, including an eagle on the 11th. Stoll noted the importance of taking advantage of the shorter par-5s, saying, 'I think they're a little shorter than usual, so playing the par 5s well out here is going to be a big advantage. I just got the ball rolling today.'
Other notable performances include Sei Young Kim, Patty Tavatanakit, A Lim Kim, Peiyun Chien, Kumkang Park, and Jenny Bae, all within striking distance. Second-ranked Nelly Korda is also in the mix, carding a 67 as she seeks her first LPGA title of the year.
With the tournament heating up, all eyes will be on Wannasaen as she aims to maintain her lead and secure another victory on the LPGA Tour.
