SPFL's Dilemma in Altering Scottish Football Leagues
The SPFL explores changes in Scottish football leagues but faces consensus issues for Premiership.

The SPFL has effectively ruled out altering the size of the Scottish Premiership. However, it will continue to investigate reconfiguring the lower leagues like the Championship and Leagues 1 and 2. Since the change in the 2000-01 season, the Premiership has had a specific fixture format. The lower tiers have their own structures and promotion systems. The SPFL sees potential changes in the divisions below the Premiership and will consult clubs and stakeholders.
