Real Madrid's Rudiger's Knee Injury and Suspension Woes
Real Madrid's Rudiger undergoes knee surgery and faces suspension.

Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger has had knee surgery and is facing a lengthy absence from the field. The German international was forced off during extra time in the Copa del Rey final loss to Barcelona and was diagnosed with a partial tear of the external meniscus in his left knee. Spanish media reports suggest he could be out for six to eight weeks, ruling him out of the remainder of the domestic season and casting doubt on his availability for the Club World Cup starting on 15 June. Additionally, Rudiger is facing a potential long ban after being sent off for throwing an object at the referee during the Barcelona defeat. His teammates Lucas Vazquez and Jude Bellingham were also sent off for related incidents. Jules Kounde scored to secure a 3-2 win for Barcelona in a thrilling match.
