Marc started Sunday's race as the pole-sitter and managed to finish 1.732 seconds ahead of his younger brother Alex Marquez, who secured a well-deserved second place. This victory marks Marc's first opening race win since 2014, demonstrating his resilience and strategic prowess in the challenging hot and humid conditions.

Alex Marquez briefly took the lead in the seventh lap but was unable to maintain his position as Marc regained control with only three laps remaining. Francesco Bagnaia, the 2022 and 2023 champion, finished third, trailing Marc by 0.666 seconds, marking his second third-place finish of the weekend.

Marc Marquez recently transitioned from Gresini Racing to Ducati at the end of last season, and this victory signifies a promising start to his new chapter.
