Justin Thomas Shines with Course Record at RBC Heritage
Justin Thomas leads the RBC Heritage with an outstanding course record.

Justin Thomas made an impressive start at the RBC Heritage. He equalled the course record with 11 birdies in a 10-under-par 61 at Harbour Town Golf Links in South Carolina. The 31-year-old American is seeking his first victory since 2022 and currently leads compatriots Russell Henley and world number one Scottie Scheffler. Former US Open champion Wyndham Clark is close behind. England's Matt Fitzpatrick is also performing well.
Justin Rose is tied for 10th after a 67 in his first round. Thomas set the pace with six birdies on the front nine and recovered well on the back nine.
He said, 'I feel like I didn't do anything crazy. I just drove the ball well, which is very important out here.'
