**Scottie Scheffler, the world number one, delivered an outstanding performance by shooting a 10-under-par 61 on the opening day of The CJ Cup Byron Nelson tournament in Texas. This was his best round of the season as he aims for his first PGA Tour win of 2025. After an amazing start with consecutive birdies and an eagle, Scheffler added more birdies on the back nine. Filipino Rico Hoey and Venezuelan Jhonattan Vegas are in second place. Scheffler missed last year's tournament for a personal reason and the beginning of this season due to injury.
