Jack Draper reaches round of 16 at Madrid Open amid power cut and injuries.


Jack Draper made it to the round of 16 at the Madrid Open. Opponent Matteo Berrettini retired injured after Draper won the first set. Play was suspended due to a power cut and resumed later. Earlier, Grigor Dimitrov beat Jacob Fearnley. There were other notable matches and upsets too.
World number 16 Dimitrov had a tough time but eventually won. Alexander Zverev, the men's top seed, was beaten by Francisco Cerundolo. Defending women's champion Iga Swiatek had a challenging win.
Aryna Sabalenka also advanced to the last eight.
